In Letter no. 10, Centinel asserts that when the people are informed by an unfettered press about the system of government constructed by the new Constitution, they reject it out of hand. He explains the skullduggery of the Framers and claims that they are the true enemy of the young America. He insists that America, under the Articles of Confederation, warts and all, is a better plan for the nation. Centinel avers that its issues can be resolved with persistence and deliberation. Centinel is confident that his fellow citizens are not being fooled by the glitter put forth by the Federalists.
