On 2/19/03, in 4th year of 2nd Palestinian Intifada, on eve of Iraq War and 7 months before dying from Leukemia, Said compared situation between Iraqi and Palestinian people, noting that all human rights laws Iraq accused of violating had been committed by Israel on Palestinians for decades with US support; noted that Richard Perle, cheerleader for the war was adviser to Netanyahu in the 90s; spoke of one-sided media coverage of Intifada; described Israel’s attempts to erase evidence of Palestinian existence, noting that coherent Palestinian life & culture pre-dated Zionists and more.
