SINCE EARLY SEPTEMBER ISRAEL PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU HAS BEEN PUBLICLY URGING PRESIDENT OBAMA, WHO IS CAMPAIGNING FOR RE-ELECTION, TO DRAW "A RED LINE" ON IRANS PRODUCTION OF ENRICHED UNRANIUM WHICH WOULD TRIGGER A JOINT MILITARY STRIKE AGAINST THE NUCLEAR INSTALLATIONS. SO FAR, HIS DEMAND HAS FALLEN ON DEAF EARS.
MEANWHILE, OUTGOING IRANIAN PRESIDENT MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD CAME TO MANHATTAN ON MONDAY, ON THE EVE OF HIS LAST SPEECH AT THE U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND MET WITH RELIGIOUS & COMMUNITY LEADERS, JOURNALISTS AND ANTI-WAR ACTIVISTS FROM AROUND THE U.S. WHO EXPRESSED THEIR SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF IRAN.
