A year after Arch Bishop Oscar Romero was murdered in El Salvador by the US trained atcatly battalion for practicing Liberation Theology, US citizen Jean Donovan, along with two Maryknoll nuns—Maura Clarke and Ita Ford, and Dorothy Kazel an Ursuline sister, were abducted, raped and shot to death by National Guardsmen in El Salvador.
