Big Mama is a lifer, she was sentenced for 17 yrs after defending herself against a rapist, killing him as an act of liberation. Big Mama is a resident of the DTES. She came here 15 years ago, she talk about why she came here, how she deal with drug, social housing, community organization, outreach, police... she's sharing her rage, her sadness, her desires and critics related with those issues... she's talking about her life of sexual abuse, her revolt against the oppresors and about fighting for life and surviving.
