DANA GOLAN is Executive Director of Breaking the Silence, an organization of veteran Israeli soldiers that collects anonymous testimonies (over 650 so far) of men and women who served in the Occupied Territories since 2000 . From November 2001 - February 2004, she served as an IDF non-commissioned officer and education officer, studied journalism and creative writing afterward, and joined Breaking the Silence in January 2009 . Last year, 54 damning testimonies were published.
