Philippine President Duterte's War on the Workers with Elmer Labog, Chairperson, Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), labor federation
Labog is on a US tour to build support for Philippine workers under attack by the Duterte regime by pressuring the US to cut off military aid for the Philipines. Thirty.labor leaders have been killed since Duterte became president. Others have been jailed on trumped-up charges. as the conditions for workers deteriorate. Masses of workers hve been forced to strike because public and private employers are only giving workers temporary employment that last less than six months and they are terminated short being eligibe for regular benerfits.Strike picket lines have been busted up by the police who beat workers and round them up to jail
