Second hour: Investigative reports:  A day after Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, he has sought to reverse comments he made during the leaders joint press conference. Citing the transcript of his remarks, Trump said his assertion that he did not see any reason why it would be Russia behind election inference should have been: I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia. - Russia-gate is becoming FBI-gate, thanks to the official release of unguarded text messages between loose-lipped FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and his garrulous girlfriend, FBI lawyer Lisa Page. (Ten illustrative texts from their exchange appear at the end of this article.) Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the third presidential debate in 2016, during which Clinton called Trump Vladimir Putin’s “puppet.” Despite his former job as chief of the FBI’s counterintelligence section, Strzok had the naive notion that texting on FBI phones could not be traced. Strzok must have slept through “Security 101.” Or perhaps he was busy texting during that class. Girlfriend Page cannot be happy at being misled by his assurance that using office phones would be a secure way to conduct their affair(s) - Russias Federal Security Service (FSB) has raided a space research facility after a suspected leak of hypersonic missile secrets to Western spies. The state space agency Roskosmos said its security staff were co-operating with FSB officers on a criminal case. Russias Kommersant daily says about 10 staff at a Roskosmos facility called TsNIIMash are under suspicion. A directors office was searched. Hypersonic missiles fly at more than five times the speed of sound (Mach 5). On Thursday the Russia defence ministry released video of two new hypersonic missile systems - called Kinzhal and Avangard. Both can deliver nuclear warheads. - FAKE NEWS OF THE WEEK: Police identify Putin’s nerve agent assassins in huge trawl of CCTV COUNTER-TERROR police have identified the Russian hit squad behind the Salisbury Novichok poisonings, it was claimed yesterday - SUDDENLY NEWS CHANGED TO - Britains security minister Ben Wallace has dismissed a report that police have identified several Russians who were behind the poisoning of former Russian double-agent Sergei Skripal as "wild speculation". - Porton Down lies - Porton Down victims awarded £3m. The government has not admitted liability. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is to award £3m in compensation to 360 veterans of Cold War experiments at the Porton Down research centre.Defence minister Derek Twigg said: "The government sincerely apologises to those who may have been affected." The money is "in full and final settlement" of claims and without admission of liability, Mr Twigg added. Many of those given nerve agents in the trials at the Wiltshire complex have complained of life-long ill health. The servicemen were often told they were helping to find a cure for the common cold. - Poem of the week - A sad, funny story of Sergei and Yulia – not ‘funny ha-ha’, but funny peculiar… One Sunday in March they decided to eat - at a nice little café, then stopped at a seat - where they both felt unwell at the very same minute – now I think that’s quite a coincidence, ‘innit? So an ambulance came for the pair, as requested. But when they were studied, and prodded, and tested, nefarious substances in them were found – and not only there, but spread all around old Salisbury town, up hill and down valley – (the High Street is now known as ‘Chemical Alley’) - Meet Sam Husseini, the Reporter Dragged from Trump-Putin Press Conference for Trying to Ask About Nuclear Treaty -  Hong Kong National Party: Move to ban pro-independence group concerns UK - Veterans For Peace VFP-UK members engaged with multiple people on the promenade, discussing militarism and war. We engaged with the public, andpeople is various uniforms. We also looked at what stands the military were running. Most were aimed at recruitment into a branch of the military, with various exhibits. Most disturbingly was a Royal Marine sponsored stand that had a number of weapons on display, including what looked like a Sterling Sub Machine Gun and a variant of the AK 47. What was disturbing about this stand was the personnel in military fatigues (combat trousers, some sort of unit polo shirt, and a Royal Marines green beret) were allowing children to handle these weapons and encouraging their families and friends to take photos of the handling weapons. This included children aiming weapons at people. Something that I was taught in my basic training was the one NEVER points a weapon at a person unless you are aiming at them to kill them - Chlorine used in Syrias Douma, no trace of nerve agent, Interim OPCW report finds - Pakistan gives army broad election powers at polling stations - Alison Weir from If Americans Knew exposes the Perushim secret society behind the original US Zionist lobby and how they brought the US forces to the aid of Britain in World War One - Israel Retaliates, Ferociously, After IDF Soldier Killed by Hamas Sniper - roughly one hundred Palestinians killed for every Israeli
