This week's program commemorated the anniversary of Trump's inauguration with two interviews examining the deep political context of Trump's election and the geopolitical factors in the background. First we hear a year old interview with J. David Hughes, earth scientist, Fellow with the Post Carbon Institute, and author of two reports indicating hydrocarbon reserves in the US are a great deal more precarious than official figures would have us believe. then we hear from past guest Mark Robinowitz, writer, commentator, permaculture practitioner, and publisher of the sites oilempire.us and jfkmoon.org. Robinowitz outlines his convictions about the factions of the Deep State, their rationale for supporting or opposing Trump, and how peak oil and gas may factor into presidency.
