On this week's episode of the Global Research News Hour, we interview critics of the ongoing propaganda campaign against Syria, which seems to animate many peace and social justice groups in the Western world.
In the first half hour, Syrian-American political commentator and independent journalist Sarah Abed deconstructs the role of Kurdish nationalism as a tool of US imperialism historically, including currently in Syria. Following that interview, independent investigative reporter Mark Taliano, author of the book 'Voices from Syria' challenges many of the prevailing mainstream narratives about the war crimes of Syrian President Assad based on his own research, and notably, a visit to Syria in September of 2016. Finally, we hear from Majd Zouda, a permanent resident in Canada of Syrian extraction and a Ph.D. candidate in science education (on scholarship) at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), at University of Toronto. She discusses divisions within the Syrian diaspora in Canada and provides insights into who and why certain Syrian-Canadians are encouraging regime change in Syria.
