After Trump scolded fellow NATO members for not pulling their weight, Canada’s Foreign Minister delivered a policy speech reported as critical of the Donald, which turned out to be an elaborate rationalization of why Canada was going to do exactly what they’d been told to do. It was an Alice in Wonderland moment.
According to the minister, the “indispensable nation” was laying aside it’s mantle of leadership and little-big Canada would have fill the gap until the giant reawakens to its duties. As Murray Dobbin explains, the Freeland speech is an exercise in malarkey.
