The older archives (>10 years old) have been substantially recovered -- more than 23,800 files' worth -- and are now reachable through the search engine and via file download. Email here if you have any questions.
Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

This is a retool of my old "Boredom" show, BSTF #77 from 1995, and it's just as painful as it ever was...in fact, even more so. But that doesn't mean it's a bad show--it just has a lot of triggers in it that might get you reaching for your own Saturday night problem-solver. If you feel any holiday despair, it might be good to steer clear of this one, because the topic of boredom is so close to existential angst and purposelessness that the content pulled me down into an even blacker moodpool. With appropriately boring material by Madeline Kahn, the Circle Jerks, Iggy Pop, Jim Kweskin Jug Band, Darryl Rhoades, cabaret hacks Cindy & Lindy, Julie London, Mac & Katie Kissoon, Pink Lincolns, Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band with the Rootettes, Howard Keel, the Krokodiloes of Harvard, and a delicious clip of a song by Art, The Only Band in the World--"Ugly People with Fancy Hairdos" (the "Boat People" song). The guy shuffling cards and talking about UFOs is eccentric cartoonist Bob Burden. And I threw in a big chunk of Zappa--just for those who think he sucks.
