'Protect Our NHS' is a forum for the community to share information on the changes which are affecting our National Health Service in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire
http://protectournhs.wordpress.com/
Horror stories today Im afraid about the massive international healthcare industrys assault on the Great British National Health Service (NHS) and how the present Coalition government are selling our future health to the vampires of this industry.
Were joined by Mike Chappel and Steve Timmins from the Bristol based group Protect Our NHS and they explain how the privatisation is being conducted in our part of the country.
We also discuss the controversial Private Finance Initiative (PFI) scheme at Southmead hospital and the former slave traders, Bristols Merchant Venturers, role in running both of Bristols NHS trusts through this privatisation which together have a budget of around £1 billion. They are big businessmen themselves and no friends to the private sector it seems. If they do not stand to gain personally from this privatisation then some of their dubious friends certainly do.
