The General Assembly has reached the point in the session where both the Senate Finance Committee and the House Appropriations Committee have released their budgets. Our values as a Commonwealth are reflected in what is in those budgets -- or perhaps in what is left out. Michael Cassidy, President & CEO of The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis, will share details about what is being proposed, focusing specifically on the implications for low- and moderate-income Virginians. Of particular note is the potential for the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. Learn more about health care issues and Medicaid expansion at these sites: The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis at http://thecommonwealthinstitute.org; Health Care for All Virginians Coalition at http://havcoalition.org/; Virginia Consumer Voices for Healthcare at http://www.vaconsumervoices.org/.
