Sometimes an event doesnât have to have occurred too far in the past to be hidden, even from law makers who ought to know better. Take the case of incoming freshman Republican House Member Andy Harris. He campaigned vigorously on an anti-healthcare platform decrying the recent healthcare initiative passed by the Democrats as âsocialistsâ and vowing to work for its repeal. Despite the shallowness of his platform, he managed to win. And one of the first things he wanted to know was why he had to wait all of 28 days before his Government Healthcare plan would take effect.
