Today we finish our coverage of the November 12, 2019 Criminalizing Dissent Conference held at Umass Amherst. This was an enormously important conference, held despite the fact that the Zionist lobby as well as University officials tried to stop it from even happening. They were not successful, and with the help of a court order, the conference proceeded. The auditorium was packed, as was a similar conference held in the Spring of 2019, and as you will hear, this one was also challenged by audience hecklers, who were were expertly handled by the panelists. This was an important moment in the conference and we have not edited it out. This morning you will first hear the presentation of organizer Shaun King, and then the closing panel discussion with all the participants whose speeches were presented in our two preceding broadcasts. The panel consisted of Linda Sarsour, Tim Wise, Cornel West, Dimi Khalidi, and Shaun King.
