After months of popular demonstrations, the army has removed President Bashir in Sudan. However, the new question is who will rule. The Western imperialist powers, namely the the US and UK, are working closely with Saudi Arabia to bring Sudan into alignment with their interests. But the people want civilian rule, and no part of Saudi Arabia's war in Yemen. Both the protest movement and the army have unpredictable divisions in their own camps.
